Trump On Top!

Anyone who beats records set by Ronnie O'Sullivan has the potential to win at the highest level. Judd Trump is no exception to that rule. Having overtaken Ronnie, as the youngest ever to make a competitve maximum break, the 17-year-old from Bristol has made steady progress in his first year on tour.

Trump stepped up a gear in the big one - the 888.com world championship, and won his three qualifying matches including a 10-7 win over Jamie Cope, runner-up in the Royal London Watches Grand Prix.

Andrew Higginson became the second player to reach a final of a ranking event and miss out on a Crucible place. He lost to Ricky Walden, who once again impresses with his relentless heavy scoring. Cuef@cts is convinced that it won't be long before Walden becomes a first time winner.

Other impressive performers included Jamie Burnett who made four centuries in his two matches and ended any hopes the "Whirlwind" had of finally lifting the world trophy.
