The main event of the snooker calendar is almost here, and Cuefactor will be onsite at Cuezone in Sheffield with plenty of snooker-baized activities to keep everyone entertained.

The fun begins everyday at 10am when you can show off your talents against the Cuefactor team. Come and try our handicap system to see how you fair against ladies’ World Championship runner-up, Katie Henrick.

We are hosting that old favourite – speed snooker. Visitors to Cuezone have a choice of three Top Gear style leader-board speed competitions. The race is on to pot colours or plants. If you’re feeling lucky, have a go at our “hot reds” competition and ‘pot as many balls as you can’.

The Cuefactor gang will kick things off in the afternoon with another dose of racy snooker.

Not difficult to reach the pink spot from the baulk end is it? But can you do it coming off a cushion or two. Or three. Or four. Intrigued? Well come on down to Cuezone to try out our “nearest the pin” competition, see a demonstration and meet the challenge!

Safety play a bit rusty? Need a hand with you break-building? Our experts might have the answer. The Cuefactor surgery will offer a 10-minute coaching session with our team of pros.

Finally, Simon Cowell watch out, pop idol has gone potty. Everyday six lucky snooker fans will have the chance to battle it out in Cuefactor’s very own all-sinking, all-dancing “Pot Idol”. Judges will be looking for style, accuracy and technical ability when performing break-offs, screw-backs and crafty snooker escapes. Make it to the second round and you get the chance to show Steve Davis a thing or two by knocking in that black he missed against Dennis Taylor in 1985. Can you succeed where the six-time World Champion couldn’t? Come and have a go from 5pm and the main prize could be yours.

Are you more of a spectator? No problem, we are holding regular quizzes throughout the day, so anyone can win a prize.

So, Cuefactor will be keeping the fun alive in Cuezone all week starting 30th April. Come in to show us what you’re made of, have a laugh trying to win prizes or simply watch others pitch their talents in a variety of challenges.
