Scottish Hat-Trick?
Stephen Maguire, the only player this season to have won two ranking titles. Maguire will be looking for his own hat-trick by adding the 888.com world crown to the China Open and Northern Ireland Trophy. And in doing so, making it three consecutive titles for Scotland.
The favourite to still be around on final Monday in many people's eyes has been impressive for the last 18-months.
He reached the semi-final last year losing out to Higgins so is sure to feel comfortable in The Crucible.
Hamilton is probably past his best but still one of the game's heaviest scorers as Cuefacts shows.
It won't be a pushover for the Scot but we expect him to negotiate the first hurdle at least.
