What a difference a year makes!
Twelve months ago, he was the defending champion, having just won the China Open. This time around, suffering from depression, Graeme Dott's appearance at The Crucible has been in doubt.
Based on this season's form, there is only one winner. However, recent stories will make this one an interesting watch.
Despite his problems, Dott is nothing if not tenacious and the scene of his greatest triumph in 2006, could be the perfect escape.
