There will be millions watching this one in the Far East.
Ding has been solid if not spectacular since losing to O'Sullivan on his debut here twelve months ago. A quarter-final in the Maplin Uk Championship has been the ranking highlight.
Fu has been the comeback story of the year though. By self-admission he was struggling to pot a ball a few seasons back, he comes to Sheffield as The Royal London Watches Grand Prix Champion.
The stats are close and impressive. On paper, Ding should win which is reflected in the bookies price. But, we predict an 'upset' with Fu edging a close one.
