Carter V Hawkins
Almost too close to call!
Just looking at the statistics indicate that this will go all the way.
On that basis, Hawkins represents value at 11/10, although we think that the slightly better scoring ability of "Captain Carter" will carry him through.
Hawkins also lacks in Crucible experience. He has played there in 2006 and 2007, losing in the first round to Ken Doherty and Fergal O'Brien. Carter on the other hand looked dangerous lat time around, defeating Andy Hicks and seven-times champion, Stephen Hendry before losing a deciding frame shoot-out with eventual runner-up, Mark Selby.
