father of the F1 sensation, Lewis. Anthony Hamilton couldnt have known the series of events he created when he bought his son a radio-controlled car in 1991. This would be the young speedster’s first taste of racing competition. Lewis finished second in the national radio-controlled cars championship in the following year.
That led to Lewis sampling kart racing for the first time. Aged six, his father bought him his first go-kart as a Christmas present, and would support his racing career as long as he worked hard at school.
