john higgins v fergal o'brien
It would be easy to keep the 'neck' in here and go for the favourite, Higgins. The Cuef@cts form guide indicate that it is a lot closer than it might otherwise seem. O'Brien is a tough competitor and has combined his dogged fighting qualities with improved scoring this season. He matches Higgins in almost all of the disciplines and we have a feeling that O'Brien could cause an upset.
John proved us wrong in round one and may well do the same here. There were glimpses against Holt that the form which took him to his only world title in 1998 might be set to return. We think more because of Holt's mistakes though and dont think O'Brien will play as open.
A tough one to call but this is outsider of the round - we're going for the Irishman
