Thin

Tight
A term used to describe the path of the cue ball or object being partly blocked by another ball.
Timing
The act of delivering the cue so that the movement of the forearm and wrist are in time, generating the desired reaction on the cue ball.

Top
An abbreviated term for of top spin.
Top cushion
The cushion at the end of the table opposite the “D”, near the black spot.
Topspin
A type of spin applied to the cue ball through striking above its centre, causing it to spin forwards as it slides forward on the cloth. Top spin is used to control the position of the cue ball. The amount of spin is increased through striking higher and hitting with more power. On a straight pot it will cause the cue ball to follow the same line as the object ball, and on angle pots it will widen both the angle the cue ball travels after contact with an object ball, and the angle it rebounds off of a cushion.
Total clearance
The consecutive potting of 15 reds, 15 colours and the colour balls in order.
Touching ball
A situation where the cue ball and another ball are resting together.
Treble
A shot in which the object ball is potted after contacting two cushions.
Triangle
1) A piece of equipment, used to set up the reds at the start of a frame.
2) The shape of the reds at the start of a frame.
Trick shot
An exhibition shot, often involving props.
