Neil Robertson lifted his second trophy of the season at Newport last year.
The event has moved between Newport and Cardiff and although the venue has yet to be confirmed, it is likely to be in the capital city or home of the 201 Ryder Cup once again.
Leading Welsh players Mark Williams and Matthew Stevens have dissapointed the home fans in recent years and Ryan Day lost his opening match last year. Could 2008 be the year of the Dragon or will it be another Duff-odil year?
It is eight years since John Higgins won in Wales, so we are picking the world champion out of the bunch to head back home with the trophy.
