iPot meets...Ricky Walden
Since winning the world under-21 title in 2001, Ricky has made steady progress up the professional world rankings to number 35. Cuefactor is a big fan of the way he plays and is certain that 2007/08 will be his season.
Look out for him at the final stages of tournaments and possibly even holding a trophy above his head.
But before he does that - Cuefactor caught up with him to talk about music...this is what he had to say.
How do you relax between matches?
I love sport, playing and watching, so that keeps me busy. I am a big 'reds' fan so get to Anfield as often as I can. I also like to travel and spending time with family too.
Does Music help to relax you?
Yes
What about inspire you before matches? Yes
What is your song before matches?
I don't really have A song! Anything chilled really, just to try and relax before getting out there.
Do you own an iPod / MP3 player?
Yes
Which one?
An iPod - the 30gb one.
What was the last song you listened to on it?
Miss you - by the Rolling Stones
How many songs on there?
I think there is about 8000 on it at the last count!
Do you listen when practising?
Yeah definitely - every day.
Who is your favourite bands / singers?
I'm really into The Kooks at the moment and I like Damien Rice too!
Ever seen any of them live?
Yes - I have tickets to see the Kooks soon.
Where?
At the M.E.N. in Manchester
When was that?
It hasn't happened yet - I cant remember the exact dates, but it's not long.
Best Concert?
I went to see Ray LaMontagne - he was brilliant!
Ever been to Glastonbury / Festivals?
Yes
Which one(s)?
Not done Glastonbury, but I went to V Festival two years ago, amazing time!
If you had sum up your career in a song which song would it be?
It would have to be Champagne Supernova by Oasis!!!
