Joe Perry

How do you relax between matches?

I get on well with a few of the players, so we tend to have a 'friendly' game of cards in the players' lounge or back at the hotel. I also like to watch other matches - it helps me get a feel for the venue and feel part of the tournament. .

Does Music help to relax you?

No, not really.

What about inspire you before matches?

No - I know a few players 'psyche' themselves up before a match but I dont go in for that kind of thing!

Do you own an iPod / MP3 player?

No. Can you believe that? I am not a huge music fan and just haven't bothered getting one. The only time I really listen to music is at the gym - and that tends to be dance stuff which is not my cup of tea! But, if there was something I liked, I would buy the CD

What was the last CD you bought?

Amy Whinehouse, I know she is a bit of a tortured soul, but I think she is brilliant. I was pleased she won so many Grammy's the other night.

Do you listen when practising?

No, I haven't tried it actually. So I dont know if it would help or not, I just have never done it!

Who is your favourite bands / singers?

Amy Whinehouse and some classic stuff, like Elton John.

Ever seen any of them live?

Yes

Where?

I was dragged to see Robbie Williams by an ex-girlfriend who told me I was missing out! I wasn't convinced. Although, I did see Elton John when I was on honeymoon and he was fantastic.

Best Concert?

Elton John, superb!

Ever been to Glastonbury / Festivals?

No. I am not a big fan of mud or outdoor toilets, I prefer my home comforts.

If you had sum up your career in a song which song would it be?
