Cuefactor was inspired by the well established and universally used Handicap system in world golf.
Designed by former professional player, Neil Tomkins, the unique and statistical formula will provide snooker players around the world with numerous benefits.
Cuefactor offers you the opportunity to compete fairly with an equal chance of victory against players, no matter how good or bad they are. As a result tournament snooker will be established as a key element of club snooker.
Competition is the life-blood of sport, but with extreme differences in player’s ability, it has been a missing ingredient within the snooker clubs across the UK and around the world.
Cuefactor will allow this to change and follow the examples set by golf clubs where regular club tournaments are held with honour, pride and the winning feeling, inspiring current players to play more regularly and motivating new players to take part.
However, for players who choose not to compete in organised competitions, and play purely for fun against their family or friends, cuefactor will make it more fun and give everyone a fair chance of winning and bragging rights about who has the biggest…cuefactor.
Having conducted thousands of hours coaching players of all abilities, Tomkins also recognised the absence of an effective method of measuring performance and improvement.
As well as creating fair competition between players of different standard, cuefactor will offer an effective tool for players to measure their own performance and clearly see the level of their improvement.
A former Development Manager with World Snooker, Tomkins had the opportunity to gain first hand experience of the situation facing snooker club owners and the opportunities available to players. This combination has been the driving force in creating cuefactor and allowing the needs of both to be met.
